Children's Toy Illustration
The Design & Drill Rivet Pop Workshop is a toy in which kids use a hand-powered rivet tool and rivets that “pop” when they’re placed to complete the colorful patterns on the included cards.
The challenge was illustrating cute characters and scenes and making sure to line them up perfectly with holes for rivets to complete the scenes. The rivets come in 4 colors (red, green, blue, and yellow) and I had to make sure to use them throughout the illustrations in a clever and challenging way for that age group to complete.
All of the illustrations where sketched by hand, scanned and traced in Adobe Illustrator with final touches added in Adobe Photoshop. The files were provided to the Graphic Designer in the format and file type that the vendor wanted and I made sure all the colors where set up to CMYK for printing.
